Romantici accorrete. Il Bacio di Hayez è in mostra al Castello di Miramare
Presso il Museo Storico del Castello di Miramare a Trieste ha appena aperto un’esposizione che si inserisce nel quadro dei festeggiamenti per i 150 anni dell’Unità d’Italia. La mostra che propone un capolavoro dell’arte italiana dell’Ottocento: Il Bacio di Francesco Hayez. La straordinaria fortuna di quest’opera, subito riconosciuta come icona popolare perché emblema delle sofferenze d’amore, non è mai tramontata e ancora oggi quando si nomina Il Bacio l’opera di Hayez gareggia con quella di Gustav Klimt per fama e riconoscimento internazionale. Preludio dell’atto politico da cui nacque l’Italia, l’opera nella versione del 1861 divenne il simbolo delle lotte risorgimentali, essendo sintesi formale delle istanze patriottiche di Hayez e di un preciso momento storico.
Il Bacio viene ora esposto in una residenza asburgica, importante vetrina della città di Trieste e sito romantico per eccellenza, luogo ideale per accogliere l’opera più popolare di Hayez, divenuta icona del Romanticismo italiano. Accanto al capolavoro di Hayez sono presenti altri tre rari acquerelli dello stesso artista e una copia de Il Bacio, nella versione del 1859.
